My name is Lucy Mwangi, a current Biomedical Science graduate student and proud alumna of Newman University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology in May 2023. My time at Newman University was nothing short of transformative. It fostered a commitment to lifelong learning and committing myself to the betterment of my community—values that have guided me through every step of my academic journey. Now, I am thrilled to take the next step in my journey as I begin medical school at Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine this July! I’m incredibly grateful for the foundation Newman provided and for the mentors, classmates, and family who helped me get here and have walked alongside me every step of the way
