Dr. Daryl Goad is a dynamic professor with a diverse background. Aside from his PhD in Cellular Biology from UT Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas, he has an undergraduate and master’s degree in photography. He also has a GED. His unique pat helps students see what’s possible for their future.

Dr. Goad’s specializations include microscopy and fermentation. Dr. Goad has experience in a variety of industries in addition to his experience in academia. He leads the hydra laboratory at Newman, a model organism used in medicine. If you have any questions or want guidance, feel free to come by his office to chat. He loves helping students realize their potential and achieve their goals.

Dr. Goad has a wide variety of interests outside of work. He lives on a small farm outside of Buhler, Kansas, where he raises goats, chickens, and occasionally bees. Come by his office to see pictures of his kids (of the goat kind). He is an avid maker and enjoys talking about 3-D printing and other creative endeavors. He enjoys travel, especially on the back roads of Kansas and in Rocky Mountain National Park.
